Bhutan offers a wonderful mix culture and adventure. Having only opened its' doors to the world in 1974, trekking is in its infancy in Bhutan and all trails are very quiet.
It is also home to the infamous Snowman trek which is renown for being one of the World's most remote and challenging trails. We appreciate that not everyone has enough time to take on such a long trek so we also offer shorter itineraries over 9 or 10 days, such as the Druk Path or Chomolhari routes, which are teamed up with cultural visits to give a great taste of Bhutan.
We offer the Druk Path, Chomolhari and Snowman treks offering a completely bespoke private label service.
The Druk Path trek is a four day trek, crossing the stunning landscape between Paro and Thimphu. It is a journey through a spectacular natural landscape that includes blue pine forests, dwarf rhododoendrons, high mountain ridges and crystal clear lakes. Along the way you will discover more about the history of Bhutan through unspoilt villages, ancient lakhangs and dzongs. Our itinerary includes city tours of Paro and Thimphu, as well as a visit to the stunning Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
The Chomolhari trek is a six day trek, crossing the stunning landscape to Chomolhari Base Camp. It is a journey from the sweeping valleys of Paro and Thimphu to the stunning high mountains of Chomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tshrim Khang, through a natural landscape of rhododendron forests and glacial streams. Along the way you will discover more about the history of Bhutan through unspoilt villages, ancient lakhangs and dzongs. Our itinerary includes city tours of Paro and Thimphu, as well as a visit to the stunning Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
The Snowman Trek is an 18 day trek into the remote Lunana region. A combination of distance, high altitude, remoteness and unpredictable weather make this the most difficult trek in Bhutan. Make no mistake, this is an incredibly tough trek and should only be undertaken by those with previous experience and a high level of fitness.
Our itinerary includes cultural visits in Bhumtang, Paro and Thimpu including the famous Tiger's Nest Monastary.
Due to the poor road conditions, our itinerary flies back from Bhumtang to Paro at the end of the trek to cut out two arduous days of vehicular travel.
